Multnomah County Library Booklists:
Lists include "If You Like..." booklists, and fiction and non-fiction booklists in a variety of categories including books for bird lovers, surprising histories, legal thrillers, and humorous reads.
Readers can find booklists in many different genres, and booklists on best seller read alikes. Examples of booklists include Oh, the Horror, War in Fiction, Bark if you Love Books, Cozy Mysteries and much more.
For Young Adults:
Compilation of booklists for youth including Great Graphic Novels for Teens, Best Books for Young Adults, Outstanding Books for the College Bound, and Quick Picks for Relucant Young Adult Readers.
Reading Rants: Out of the Ordinary Teen Booklists:
Started in 1998, and now turned into an interactive blog, this site lists boklists such as Fanging Around, Graphic Fantastic, Inquiring Minds Want to Know, and Nail Biters.
For Children:
Allan County Public Library Booklists:
Fiction and nonfiction booklists by subject. Includes Parents' Primer which lists books on a variety of sensitive topics such as death, divorce, fears and illnesses.
ATN Reading Lists started in 1996 as a librarian collaborative project. With over 1,400 lists on the site, the lists compile books by genre, read alikes, read alouds, themed lists and more. Now by using wikispaces, these lists can be added to or corrected by librarians all over the world.
Booklists of Children's Literature:
Compiled by the Monroe Country Library, booklists are built around a variety of themes including being sick, dinosaur stories, new babies, pirate stories, scary stories, Word War II, historical stories and many more.
Find books for children in grades 3 to 8 by subject, grade level, author or title. Book lists are annotated and show page numbers, and links to related topics.
Booklists include classroom read alouds, fairy tales, hot titles to read, funny stories, graphic novels, poetry fun, true books, and more. Covers are shown, as are small summaries and page numbers.
