We are friendly, knowledgeable staff providing programs and access to information at two locations.

 

Library Cards

To receive a library card present current ID containing proof of address. Register as an adult, senior, young adult, juvenile, or temporary member. TRAC/TAL cards can be used at participating Alberta libraries. Library cards are issued for free when you purchase a new membership. There is a replacement charge of 2.00 for lost, damaged or stolen cards. Report lost or stolen cards and change of phone number or address.

 

Prices
  • Adult memberships: 10.00
  • Family memberships: 25.00
  • Young Adult memberships (13-17): 7.00
  • Juvenile memberships (under 12): 1.00
  • Senior memberships (55+): 5.00
  • Temporary memberships: 10.00


 

Fines
  • .25 per item per day- magazines, books on tape, adult books, young adult books and children’s books
  • 1.00 per item per day- videos, CD’s and DVD’s
  • .50 per item per day- interlibrary loans


 

Check Out Information
  • 50 items per adult, senior, or corporate card
  • 15 items per young adult card
  • 10 items per juvenile card
  • 40 items per temporary card. No interlibrary loans allowed.
  • 3 cd’s at a time
  • 3 movies at a time

 

Wireless Hotspots

Wireless (Wi-Fi) internet access is available at the Grand Centre Branch and the Harbour View Branch of the Cold Lake Public Library. If your computer or PDA is Wi-Fi enabled, you can connect to the internet free of charge. You do not require a library card to access the wireless network, but printing from the wireless network is not available. Users of the wireless network are bound by the terms of the library's Use of Computer Policy. Users are responsible for protecting their own devices from viruses and spyware.

 

Assistive Technology

computer The Grand Centre Branch of the Cold Lake Library now has an accessible workstation for those who have visual or mobility impairments. The assistive technology includes hardware and software which facilitate internet searching, word processing and emailing. There is no cost to use this equipment.
